Dine by candlelight in our atmospheric upstairs dining room, with views over Poundbury’s town square. Enjoy small plates in the bar with friends. Or spill out onto our terrace for a leisurely lunch in the sunshine. Whatever you choose, you can be sure you’re in good hands.
Christmas at Duchess of Cornwall Inn
Make your yuletide extra merry by booking a festive meal with us. Our wonderfully cosy pub restaurant will be decked out for the season, while our menu serves up all your Christmas and New Year favourites.
Get the family together, without the washing up afterwards. Start yet another group chat and assemble your mates for a pre-Christmas meal. Or bring a little seasonal good cheer by planning an outing with your work colleagues. We’ll do the rest. Just make sure you book in advance, because tables will get snapped up faster than mince pies on Christmas Eve.
Our Coffee Bar
You’re guaranteed a decent brew at The Duchess of Cornwall, because we take making coffee just as seriously as we take pouring the perfect pint. Our ‘Rocket Espresso’ is an 100% Arabica blend from our friends at Extract Coffee Roasters, who work with a co-operative project benefiting families in Peru. It’s delicious as well as ethical, with a natural sweetness complemented by full-bodied notes of chocolate and caramel.
Our Beers
Drink in the taste of the Dorset countryside by sampling our Badger beers, which were first brewed by local farmer Charles Hall in 1777. Soon, the Hall and Woodhouse families united, and a centuries-old brewing legacy was born.
Badger beers are created from hops, malted barley, and pure spring water that’s naturally filtered through the chalk downs of Dorset. At The Duchess of Cornwall, we offer a full, distinctive and delicious range, including classic draught ales and bitters alongside imaginatively flavoured bottled beers. Our beer line-up changes seasonally, so consult our expert team to find the brew for you.

Our charming, Georgian-inspired rooms are a perfect base for exploring both Poundbury and the Dorset countryside.
